Conceptual Spiritual/Metaphysical Information, April 12, 2011

Patrice

It is unfortunate that an earlier reviewer so badly misunderstood Life’s Hidden Meaning and has removed it from Unity’s Lending Library.  Most books contain only a few concepts, if any.  I have read and studied this book several times, and have seen no less than thousands of concepts in it.  The value in concepts is that they answer the question “why,”  so the reader can determine each concept’s validity for himself or herself.  I’m not aware of any other book that contains so many concepts.  Not only that, there is no contradiction among the concepts.  And not only that, ALL of the concepts support one another.  Consider for a moment how powerful a collection of words that must be.

Furthermore, the author, in the very beginning of the book, cautions the reader to not believe a word he says, but to instead think them through and use the presented information to experiment in his or her own life and determine for himself or herself whether they are true.  Nowhere in this book does MacFlouer tell the reader what to believe.  He gives the reader information and ways to test it for validity.

If faith is enough for you, and the Bible gives you what you need, then I’m happy for you.  If you have found all the meaning in your life that you need, then good for you.  Even so, this book offers interesting explanations that you won’t find anywhere else and that do not (in my opinion) contradict most of the main teachings of major religions.  I was raised with religion and have studied many religions and philosophies in my quest to know and understand God, but each one either left me with unanswered questions or fell flat.  Life’s Hidden Meaning explains in plain language, and seamlessly, how the universe works, why it works the way it does, and our role as humans within it.  He answers the hard questions, for example, “If God created everything, who created God?”  (I won’t tell you the answer—get yourself a copy of Life’s Hidden Meaning and find out for yourself.)

A Textbook for the Ages, March 6, 2011

 M. Demattei "libanus93" (SF Bay Area, CA United States)

“Life’s Hidden Meaning” is admittedly a very ambitious and daring title for a book. A claim that a book in itself contains the actual hidden meaning of life admittedly sets the bar very high. Those who would take this claim as a challenge, however, are in for a surprise. Anyone seriously putting forth the effort to understand what Niles MacFlouer has written here will come to the conclusion that the real challenge actually comes from the book itself. The principles of Ageless Wisdom which it conveys set the bar high for all of us to come to an awareness of our behavior, our actions, and how they affect the world around us.

If you have some familiarity with Bailey or other Theosophical writers, then you will recognize a number of the concepts in this book. However, Niles MacFlouer takes it all to a new level. The book begins by identifying your ray structure, or your outlook and tendencies in behavior. Knowing this, you can identify the order in which you read the twelve chapters within.

Following this, the book then proceeds to tell you, in a manner and order that is fitted to the individual, about the Cosmos, its history and meaning, its many planes, and most importantly, your place in it.

What is revealed is that life is not about you. It's about what you can do for others. The book sets an example of this for the reader. No, this text does not come from any religious standpoint, although it is so inclusive that there is wealth of wisdom in it for a person of any spirituality, or even the lack thereof. Consequently, a person of any variety of spirituality could also find as much to loathe or denigrate about this book (and you can even see that in some of other reviews here). Even through this, revealing such a dislike could reveal to some people more truth about themselves.

Nonetheless, whether you like everything in Life's Hidden Meaning or not is not relevant--focusing OUT on others is. If there is one thing that you should take from this book once you close it, making the act of focusing on other's needs rather than in the hamster wheel of our own desires or “glamours” will help us all to be more prosperous and cooperative. Niles makes no demand that you necessarily believe or like anything that the book teaches--he sacrifices this desire in favor of you discovering more about yourself, and living and serving others to your best ability.

Life's Hidden Meaning, March 1, 2011

I deeply appreciate that Niles MacFlouer took the time and energy to write the 722 page book, Life's Hidden Meaning. This book is a wonderful service to humanity. It brings the esoteric teachings of the ages, as well as new esoteric information together and makes it available to everyone. This seems to be a sign of the times and I know that many of us who journey towards higher consciousness and peace on earth can benefit from the guidance in Life's Hidden Meaning.

Yes, it is a complex and highly intellectual work. However, it does provide the conceptual framework that is needed in order to bring this planet to peace and the sacredness it deserves. Only humanity can do this and it is my hope that everyone who cares about what happens to us in the coming years reads this book.

Intense Material that Increases Consciousness, November 2, 2008

Nilsson Aime (Seattle, WA USA)

I have read and studied this very thick and mentally intense textbook more than once, and although it contains very large and advanced conceptual teachings that challenge the ability of most human minds to grasp, it has been a life-changing experience for me. I have read lots of books on many similar topics, yet I have never discovered a greater single source of hidden wisdom than "Life's Hidden Meaning" by Niles MacFlouer. It has been the key to unlock the hidden meaning of so many other esoteric teachings that I have encountered, whether in books, esoteric groups, mystery schools, etc.

Due to the amount and intensity of the information contained in this life-changing, wisdom-based textbook, I can see why it may not be easy for everyone to easily grasp or understand it. It certainly is challenging to expand our minds, to integrate so much wisdom, and to put forth consistent efforts to improve ourselves based on what is revealed in "Life's Hidden Meaning". This is not a book for the faint of heart, but a serious de-mystification of the mysteries of our universe and the purpose of life.

Fortunately though, study groups exist so that readers can mutually help one another, and the author himself is always willing to offer assistance to those who are seriously interested in understanding and applying this de-mystified wisdom. I personally learned so much from this book and from the direct help of the author, Niles MacFlouer. I have since been able to see the normally hidden truth in many esoteric groups and their teachings, and I have a much greater understanding of life and the nature of our universe. I have become a much more conscious and capable person as a result of it.

It may not be apparent at first, but if one truly exerts the effort, he or she will discover an extremely valuable hidden treasure amongst us. Seek consistently, and you will certainly find.

At one time, there were many highly positive reviews (all 5 stars) for this book. I do not currently see all the original reviews here. Perhaps Amazon updated and renewed the reviews list, accidentally removing most of them.

Nevertheless, for anyone like Rebekah Mays (whom I personally know, by the way - "Hi, Rebekah") who may give a poor review of "Life's Hidden Meaning", I would encourage you to look a little deeper than the surface. It's easy to jump to conclusions when we don't look deeply enough to get an accurate understanding.

Rebekah or anyone else can even contact me or the author (and several others) for questions or assistance. This book and its vast ageless wisdom explanations can be intimidating or overwhelming for some, so it is understandable if this is not for you. However, those who are interested in better understanding themselves, the universe, and the hidden meaning of it all, should certainly consider buying and reading this book. I highly recommend it.

Sincerely,
Nilsson Aime

A BOOK FOR ALL TIME!, May 2, 2003
  James (Nevada City, CA USA)

Life's Hidden Meaning is the most remarkable collection of ageless wisdom that I have ever read or can imagine. Most books are long on questions, short on answers...Life's Hidden Meaning is all about ANSWERS, intelligent, cogent, and free of dogma. I felt respected by the Author as he stayed with me through the process of reading and studying this book. By reading and completing this work, my consciousness has been raised...even friends have noticed the difference. The book is at times simple in pointing out how the underlying "frequency" of the universe is based on creating virtue, sometimes thought of as light, or love; and at times the book is very complex with concepts in physics that in my opinion, extend and expand this science beyond Hawkings, Einstein, Feinman, and Sagan; some of my other most respected scholars.

Chapter One poses over 60 questions like the following and proceeds to give the reader a breathtaking explanation of every one with reference to the specific chapter where the answer is developed in far more detail.

Where did the universe come from? For what reason are there people? What happens after a person dies? What are the underlying physics of physical dimension, etheric, astral and mental? When did humans first incarnate on earth? Why do people get sick? And importantly, why should you believe what you are hearing in this book?

Be prepared for an adventure into the evolution of the universe, our planet and ourselves. You will have to read carefully and be willing to take your time to fully explore this work. Most important of all and from my experience, YOUR LIFE WILL HAVE MORE MEANING!

What more can be said?

I absolutely agree with all these extremely positive reviews. What more can I say that hasn't already been said? I'm mid-way through the book, reading it for the second time! I've never read anything more life-changing than this, and I'm thankful for it!
Put all your other books back and just buy this one.

I've read through all the other reviews, and they are all absolutely correct. In fact, if you can imagine it, all of our reviews are understatements because short of reading the text aloud to you, there is no way to explain how different, how amazing, how inclusive, and how life-enhancing this book is. Yes, it can be compared to the Bailey books and Blavatsky. There's deffinitely a similarity of content (not to say this book is not for you if you haven't read those other books.) Yet, while those books are indeed amazing and truthful, as the author of Life's Hidden Meaning puts it, they are semi-mystified which leads many of us to confusion. In fact, I didn't even think I was confused until I started reading Life's Hidden Meaning and I saw how well it was possible for me to understand ageless wisdom. Life's Hidden Meaning is not confusing. I don't mean to say that it is watered-down. Actually it includes much, much, much more on any subject it covers than any other book currently out there. That sounds like a generalization, but really, you will find it is true. Everything it talks about is presented very completely and sometimes complexly, yet it is unequivocally accessible. More so, the author offers himself to all readers as a teacher, and I completely recommend using him as such once you have started to read the book. If you are curious, go to their website at agelesswisdom.com and read some text samples. And by the way, if you were interested in it enough to read about it this far, you are probably someone who would benefit from it and needs to read it. If you are spiritually disciplining yourself or if you would like to begin to, you need to take a look at this text. It will help you in more ways than you can understand.

For SPIRITUAL DISCIPLES and studiers of AGELESS WISDOM.

Life's Hidden Meaning
James Alton Cagle "lightseeker@go.com" (New Orleans, Louisiana United States) -August 23, 2001

Life's Hidden Meaning is filled with new material that had never before been disclosed. The book contains new knowledge that explains, conceptually, information that is mentioned mystically or semi-mystically in other metaphysical books but is not explained therein, and is especially not explained conceptually. This book is the best shortcut straight into the heart of esoteric knowledge. A rare find and well worth the effort.

This book changed my life.
Aaron: California, August 8, 2001
This book changed my life. This is the first book ever published that I am aware of, explaining the spiritual underpinnings of the Universe in a conceptual and reader friendly manner. Prior to reading Life's Hidden Meaning, I read a long list of mystical and occult books attempting to find answers to life's mysteries. But it seemed as though the gems were few and far between. This book answered all of my questions, and presented new concepts that stretched my mind beyond what I thought was possible. This book will transform your thinking.

This book will change how you look at life.
Casey Wickland (CaseyWickland@Hotmail.com), a software programmer in Tempe AZ., May 30, 2001
This book is by far the best spiritual book I have ever read. Spiritual understanding is taught conceptually. Instead of relying on faith, this book explains why things are the way they are, in a way that allows the reader to test the information for themselves.

A mind once expanded by truth and understanding, will never regain its former dimensions.
A reviewer (afullerton@earthlink.net), Account Manager, Scottsdale, AZ, May 25, 2001
If you have ever pondered the meaning of life, wondered about the mysteries of our universe, read the works of Alice Bailey or Madame Blavatsky, this book will answer your remaining questions, inspire and amaze you, and raise your conciousness in the process. Seems like a very tall order, but this book will exceed all your expectations in ways you could never have imagined. Paragraph after paragraph will challenge you to think outside of the known into the unknown hidden aspects of life, providing concepts to increase the readers understanding and awareness of science and theology as they move through this volume of esoteric wisdom. Your mind will expand, holding new concepts, understanding and empathy for all life and the mysteries of our universe.

An Amazing Piece of Work!
A computer programmer, Seattle WA, May 23, 2001
Wow! It just does not seem humanly possible that someone could write such a complete, logical book about our whole universe without some type of obvious contradiction, gaping hole, or poor explanation of esoteric subjects. This is probably the most challenging book that you will ever read (yet enjoy to read), because it actually helps awaken you to parts of life that have been clouded, possibly by your own doing--a somewhat humbling experience. By no means is this a step-by-step, self-help spiritual guide, but rather a vast amount of information on all topics about life and the universe that helps you gain understanding through applying the concepts discussed in each of the chapters to your own life. Each sentence in the book requires a good deal of thought on the reader's part to attempt to digest these concepts about life--no wasted space on these book pages! This book is a great choice for those people that... a) think they know a lot about our universe and love an intellectual challenge b) have questions about the purpose of life and seek answers to those questions c) have an interest in esoteric spiritual material of Alice Bailey, H.P. Blavatsky, etc. The book is truly an amazing accomplishment!

Astonishing revelation of the visible and invisible structures of life

This book is literally a gift from God. In years to come I believe that it will be considered one of the most important sources of revelation in terms of the true essence of life in all of its seen and unseen aspects. It places the context of life purpose and growth in a unparalled context.

from the Monthly Aspectarian...
Breakthrough Books by June Rouse

LIFE'S HIDDEN MEANING by Niles MacFlouer brings us, at long last, a single-volume resource of esoteric teachings. A massive treasure trove of metaphysical essence, this 8 1/2 x 11", 720 page, carefully planned book is likely to become a premier contender for the teaching of ageless esoteric wisdom in readable text. This is certainly the largest undertaking of the subject since Manly Palmer Hall's Secret Teachings of All Ages.

The author tells us that his aim is to bring God back into science and reason into theology. Also, that "The emphasis [of this book] is on raising the "consciousness of its readers so that the hidden meaning of life can be revealed to them." These admirable words in the Preface suggest that the reader be aware that the ageless wisdom MacFlouer relates is not static, but is in flux even as our individual understanding enlarges to become wider and deeper.

If the works of Alice Bailey, Helena Blavatsky or C.W. Leadbeater, for instance, have stymied you, you'll welcome the graspable retelling of concepts detailed by them and others. For those whose vocabulary does not yet embody esoteric terms, information in abundance is to be found here along with glossaries that provide a means of delving into the text with considerably increased comprehension. Accounts are made more simple with about two hundred really very helpful illustrations, charts and diagrams. And chapter summaries remind you and lead you onward.

If questions such as What are the Rays? How does the concept of Time operate on the spiritual, mental, causal, physical planes? Am I part of a group soul? have buzzed your mind, here's a one-stop place to regale yourself with explanations. While this isn't light reading, its content can make a difference in your awareness of the creativity of the Universe.

Chapters are progressively deeper, with compelling information in the first group of easiest-to-read ones pointing the reader to fuller information to come. In the last group of chapters "you will find ways to test the author's explanations -- and determine the validity of the entire book for yourself."

Weighing in at 722 pages, the 8-1/2 x 11 tome is not likely to be in-bed reading. Thanks to excellent planning, though, it is designed so that there is no problem to laying it flat, and the vellum pages and heavy paper cover are planned for durability.

The only thing I take issue with is the cover graphics: the middle word of the title is well hidden within the iris of an eye. The word? It's Hidden (of course). So be aware: if you're looking for it in a bookstore -- not that you could miss it! -- the spine seems to read Life's Meaning.

Information about where to find Life's Hidden Meaning can be found on the publisher's very interesting website, www.agelesswisdom.com. In the United States and elsewhere, you will most probably find it at stores that carry books of metaphysical interest. It can also be ordered via major credit card by calling Ageless Wisdom Distributors at 480/966-3132. (720 pages, $39.95, Ageless Wisdom Distributors.)

WOW! This is a book that is like few others. It explains the spiritual aspects of earthly and astral existence. It feels a bit like a modern day theosophical society slant; however, it is nothing short of wonderful. In approachable terms, it explains chakras, the astral planes, the Big Bang, and on and on. It is as easy to read as a captivating novel, yet forces you to examine your beliefs. Some of the explanations are very deep, thus they must be read slowly or even twice. Yet this book has so many spiritual answers to so many questions.

Life’s Hidden Meaning  by Niles MacFlouer               720 pages                    $39.95
This book could take a lifetime to read. It is the size of the telephone book but it is packed with diagrams, charts and illustrations, so it is relatively easy reading. The author’s intention is to raise the consciouness of the reader. He says the book is a "completed cosmology" that brings God back into science and reason into theology. This is a book and a half. Some of the topics covered are evolution -spiritual and physical, karma, reincarnation, spirit and energy, the creator and the big picture.   Those people who will get the most out of this book are the students of Alice Bailey, H.P. Blavatsky, and Saraydarian. Theosophists and their ilk will find this book a fount of clarification and understanding. What are the Rays? How does the Monad operate? Am I part of a group soul?   This book is highly recommended to anyone who wants more than light reading                     AGELESS WISDOM PUBLISHERS

Life’s Hidden Meaning is the book that most readers of spiritual material
have been waiting for.

Very infrequently, a written spiritual work achieves a new and different highest level of insight, clarity, and understanding. Life’s Hidden Meaning is a just-released enormously-sized book that fits into this elite category. The author’s stated emphasis is on the elevating of the reader’s consciousness in order for the reader to achieve a basic understanding of a whole conceptual and plain-English explanation of Ageless Wisdom and what has been some of the most difficult to understand mystical and semi-mystical previous works. Some of these works include such previous esoteric marvels as the books by Alice Bailey, Blavatsky, Bessant, and Leadbeater—just to name a few. The author, under the pseudonym of "Niles MacFlouer," provides more conceptual information in one source—and possibly more than in the collections of all esoteric spiritual sources—than may be available anywhere else. Yet, surprisingly, the book is prefaced by stating that some 95% of the information was left out. The whole spiritual concepts contained within this book have not been explained before, so most of Life’s Hidden Meaning is an original work—about a timeless subject.

The book is divided into three groups of noncontiguous chapters. One group is fairly easy to moderately difficult for most readers to understand. It also contains more pages than either of the other two groups. The readers will find the information in this first group of chapters intriguing and a "must" to read. The second group of chapters is moderately difficult to difficult to understand. While being more challenging to many readers, these chapters provide much more depth to the material. For the readers of the afore-mentioned esoteric writers, these chapters will be irresistible in their revealing of what has been, in previous spiritual writing, so difficult to conceptually understand. Finally, for those seeking a completed scientific explanation of life’s hidden meaning, the shortest chapters that comprise the last and third group are, by far, difficult to very difficult for most readers to understand. However, this group of chapters reveals ways of testing the author’s explanations, which is invaluable in determining the entire book’s validity.

Life’s Hidden Meaning is beautifully illustrated—a great improvement over many other works of similar caliber. There are some two hundred illustrations within the seven hundred and thirty-two pages of text. The book is 8½" by 11" and is an amazing bargain at a cover price of $39.95, because the paper is very expensive vellum and the cover is extra-heavy paper that is coated on both sides. The binding is the new "lay-flat" fiberglass-taped spine that lasts may times longer than traditional paperback "perfect" bindings. The "lay-flat" type of binding also makes this very large book fairly easy to handle while reading. The illustrations in the book will contribute significantly towards improving the reader’s level of understanding. When you get this book, avail yourself of reading the explanations in the illustrations—they really help. Another great help in reading the book is referring to the "Glossary Help Guide" and then to the glossary itself prior to reading each chapter. This is sometimes difficult to do so because each next chapter is so appealing, but those readers who read the book by reading the recommended glossary words prior to reading each chapter will most likely improve their understanding of each chapter.

To sum up Life’s Hidden Meaning: it’s a treasure and soon-to-be reference source and landmark in de-mystifying Ageless Wisdom. It is the first if its kind, and, amazingly, a hallmark in the level of writing, in whole spiritual concepts, material that was previously esoteric. Not only is this book recommended for all those seeking more meaning in life, it is the new requirement for reading by all those who are approaching or are on the spiritual path.

Information about where to find Life’s Hidden Meaning can be found on the publisher’s website, at www.agelesswisdom.com.
